What we collect, and what we do with it

This site belongs to the private owner of two condos on Marco Island, Florida. It exists so you can ask about renting one of them. It is not a booking platform and it does not take payment. This page explains, in plain English, what information the site collects and what happens to it.

What the contact form collects

When you send the form on the contact page, you give us your name, your email address, your phone number, which condo you are asking about, roughly when you are hoping to come, and anything you choose to write in the message box.

The phone number is required so the owner can reach you directly about your inquiry.

What we do with it

The owner uses what you send to get back to you, by phone or email, about your inquiry, and to arrange a stay if you decide to go ahead. That is the only reason it is collected.

We do not sell your details. We do not add you to a mailing list. We do not share your details with anyone except the services needed to deliver the form to the owner, described below.

Who handles the form on our behalf

The site is hosted on Netlify, and the contact form is processed by Netlify Forms. When you press send, Netlify receives the form, stores a copy in the site's form dashboard, and forwards it to the owner. Netlify's own privacy policy applies to how they handle that data on their systems.

If you came here from a Facebook or Instagram ad

If you filled in a form inside Facebook or Instagram rather than on this site, Meta collected that information under its own terms and passed it to the owner. The owner uses it in exactly the same way as a form sent from this site: to get back to you about your inquiry.

The site may also use the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta that tells Meta which pages were visited by people who arrived from an ad. It is used to understand whether the ads are working. It does not give the owner your name, and you can limit it through your Facebook ad settings or by using a browser that blocks tracking scripts.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies of its own. If the Meta Pixel is active, Meta may set cookies as described above. There is no analytics service beyond that.

How long we keep it

The owner keeps inquiry details for as long as they are useful for arranging or managing your stay, and for reasonable record keeping after that. If you ask us to delete them, we will.

Asking to see, correct, or delete your details

You can ask at any time to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Send a message through the contact page saying what you would like done, and it will be handled personally. Deleting your details means the owner will no longer be able to follow up on your inquiry.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging accommodation. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this page

If the way the site collects or uses information changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
